Part of our children’s creative week…
3 workshops, daily, over 3 days.
All sessions are £6 and for ages 5-12 years.
10.30 am - 11.30 am - Mosaics
Join Creation Station to make a mini-mosaic inspired by nature. Think dragonflies, butterflies, birds or flowers – what image can you create using sea glass and stones?
12.00 pm - 1.00 pm - Air-dried Clay
Model a terra-cotta animal with air-dry clay. How do you create fur, feathers, or scales?
2.00 pm - 3.00 pm - Willow Lantern Making
Make a willow lantern to celebrate summer! Decorate with leaf, petals and other organic shapes inspired by the artist Henri Matisse.
Meet the host of Creation Station Ribble Valley…
I’m Jo and I have lived in Clitheroe for 7 years and love being in the beautiful Ribble Valley. I’m the eldest of 5 and have 3 adorable nieces and 2 gorgeous nephews plus my own furry ‘son’, Harry, who is a King Charles Spaniel.
Why I decided to run my own Creation Station...
I decided to run my own Creation Station because I know how life-affirming being creative is and I want to provide inspiration-making opportunities for children and adults, in a fun and supportive environment.
What I did before I ran my own Creation Station…
Before Creation Station, I was a primary school teacher for 12 years in Lancashire. Before that I worked in London for different arts organisations and museums, having studied art history at university.
What I love about running my own Creation Station...
I enjoy being with children and learning with them. It is great to unlock their imaginations and to share different ways of expressing themselves through paint, clay and collage. I’m looking forward to doing this with adults too.
