The Reading Room
Much gardening know-how has been collected and passed down through books, and it’s this exchange of knowledge that we celebrate in The Reading Room. Decorated in heritage gardening colours, and filled with books and memorabilia, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or a tasty snack and browse the shelves for some gardening tips.

We’re proud to use the wonderful local produce this season brings us, to create our menus.
Our popular breakfast & brunch offerings are now available all day…Think full-cooked breakfasts, smashed avo, an array of eggs benedict, and yummy pastries. All can be accompanied by a selection of Brew Tea specialty teas and Godhead coffee.
Our lunch menu is filled with favourites such as rich cottage pie, smashed burgers, homemade soups, and chef specials, which can be paired with a glass of our selected wines, ales, or a local gin & tonic.
You might prefer to pick up a lighter, gardener’s snack – a sandwich, toastie, or selection of hand-baked sweet treats – all wrapped and ready to enjoy in The Nursery grounds.
We also offer fabulous Afternoon Tea, available all week from 12.00pm-3.00pm. (Bookings essential)

Reservations and opening hours
Monday to Sunday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
Food is served Monday - Saturday 9.00 am - 3.00 pm & Sunday 10.00 am - 3.00 pm.
There’s no need to reserve general dining for smaller parties, we have plenty of seating and we welcome walk-ins.
Bookings can be made for parties of 6+.
For Afternoon Tea and special events, booking will be necessary and there is no minimum party numbers.
